chocolate & cherry smoothie

I love cherry ripe chocolate so this is my little homage to that! Frozen cherries are available at Coles and Woolworths and keep the taste of summer going even as it gets closer to the cooler months.

This is a fantastic breakfast that you can take with you on the go. It is also super easy to double if you want to share the love with someone else!

recipe (serves 1)


ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (cows, oat, almond, rice)

  • 1 cup frozen cherries

  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes/desiccated coconut

  • 2 medjool dates

  • 1 small tub vanilla Greek yoghurt

  • 1 tbsp cacao

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 1 tsp Psyllium (optional, it will make it thicker if you want to enjoy it as a smoothie bowl)

  • Coconut flakes and cacao nibs to top (optional)


method

1. Add all the ingredients to a high-powered blender and mix until all combined!
