choc walnut bliss balls

Now I know that the flavour and texture of walnuts isn’t for everyone, but there are so many nutritional benefits to ADDing them in and I promise it can taste delicious! These bliss balls are the perfect on the go breakfast, snack or after dinner sweet alongside a cup of tea.

recipe (makes 1 loaf)


ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted Medjool dates

  • 2 tbsp nut butter (you can use peanut, almond or ABC)

  • 1 cup walnuts

  • ½ cup buckinis

  • 1 tbsp cacao

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp water

  • Crushed nuts or coconut for rolling (optional)


method

1. Put all the ingredients into the food processor and blitz until it forms a thick paste.

2. Roll the mixture into tbsp sized balls and put them in an airtight container for storage. If you would like to coat them, pour some crushed nuts or coconut in a bowl and coat each bliss ball in it before popping it into a container.

It’s honestly THAT simple! These are best stored in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks - enjoy!
