This October WE are banding together as a community to discover new ways to embrace and celebrate the bodies we have been given!

why the challenge?

Well, I’ve been having some thoughts!

In September we had Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week. As part of that I shared some posts about body image and shone a light on the number of people that struggle with it.

While I believe it is so important to raise awareness of these issues and the potential contributing factors to poor body image, the reality is a lot of those factors are systemic. They require a lot change in our media landscape, schools, homes, and community. Those things aren’t going to change overnight (no matter how much I wish they would!!).

In October I want us to band together as a community to discover new ways to embrace and celebrate the bodies we have been given!! The media and everything else aren’t going to change any time soon, but the way that we feel about ourselves CAN!


the challenge

For the first two weeks of October WE as a This is Your Body community are going to band together, lift each other up, and celebrate the incredible bodies we are in!

Each day from the Monday the 2nd of October to Sunday the 14th of October you will be invited to engage in activities and answer reflection questions so that we can all start to develop a greater connection to ourselves. There will also be daily affirmations to give you a little lift if you need it that day!!
